Chuck Posthumus grew up in Chicago, near Hinsdale and the work of Frank Lloyd Wright in the "City of Architecture". His architecture training at the University of Illinois included six months in Europe.
From 1972 until 1981 he designed award winning schools, shopping centers, libraries and office buildings, including work in Alaska, Texas and Saudi Arabia.
Since January of 1982, Chuck has had his own practice. The practice is small, with the emphasis on personal interaction, creativity and efficiency. His home office is in the lower level of his renovated historic downtown GR 1888 home.
Chuck specializes in residential and unique commercial projects. His hundreds of custom homes, condominiums, remodels and additions stand out for their inventive and personal character.
Work is billed at an hourly rate.
